Soul of Death, from the Dominican Republic was born on the beginning of August 2004 when the guitarrist Melvin "Focalor" Holguin decides to create a Melodic Death Metal band using modern and traditional trends.

The band actually presents lyrics focused on ancestral war, apocalyptic prophecies and mythology.

Spiritual Disease has taken a turn in terms of their influences as they have increased the variety of themes in their lyrics and have taken the positive aspects of each sub-genre of death metal and merged them into one style.
